How to prepare an IRL stream

Simple preparation avoids many decisions under pressure. Review the plan, equipment and how you will communicate a pause before leaving.

Plan and route

Define the stream's purpose and check the route at a time as close as possible to broadcast. Identify charging points and moments you do not want to miss.

Equipment and power

Check cables, lenses, microphone and battery life for every part. Carry power reserve and do not let a critical part rely on one unchecked cable.

Signal and backup

Run a network test, choose a sensible bitrate and prepare starting, waiting and ending scenes. If you use bonding, test available connections before going live.
